A Holy Sunday

Part of the choral experience for this trip is, well, seeing choir performances. Guess which institutions have the most choirs? You guessed it, churches. TODAY, we went to Anglican mass at Westminster Abbey.
Yes, be very jealous.  I walked on Charles Darwin's grave and passed by Isaac Newton's.  Every inch of the abbey is ornate and beautiful.

Then we attended an LDS ward in the afternoon. So we had double the blessings! Haha.  We met some of the coolest people in church today.  I laughed a lot. As they would say here, "Jolly good!"
In the evening a group of us took a walk through Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park.
This is the famous Peter Pan statue.

This is Christiana and me at the lovely Italian fountains.

And this cottage is my future home. There was a Volkswagon parked in the garage. (By the way, I saw another Ferrari today. That makes two.)
We found a log and took a picture on it. The park is huge and beautiful. I will definitely go on runs (not by myself) throughout it during my stay here.

And Kung Fu on the log.

We stopped at Speaker's Corner, and passed through swiftly. It used to be a really cool place, but I just felt really scared walking through and people were really angry and hostile.  There was one guy wearing horns and a British cape that was funny.  Christiana and I found a street lamp to take pictures with while we were waiting.

It was a beautiful Sunday.  Class starts at 10 am in the morning, goes for three hours, and then we will do something fun tomorrow night.  Cheerio!

  1. I have to make a correction here. I didn't realize until later that I had put Catholic mass. It really was Anglican, a Eucharist service. Big difference! ;)
